Safety

Tobogganing, like skiing, is a risky sport. Accidents may happen, even if security rules are respected. To minimize the risk of accidents as much as possible, users of snow tubes must read and carefully follow the safety rules displayed at the entrance of the park and at the top of the slopes, and conform to the staff’s instructions. The users of snow tubes enter this activity at their own risk.

Safety Rules

Who?

Children younger than 6 are not permitted on the snow tubes except on the small slopes reserved for them.

Children must be at least 140 cm tall to use the slopes starting from the tower, i.e. slopes 6 and 7.

We strongly advise pregnant women and those suffering from weak hearts or back or neck problems to abstain from Tobogganing. People with any other health issues should check with their doctor before taking part. The staff may deny access to the slopes to anyone whose condition is deemed inappropriate for this activity.

How?

The Tobogganing Park is reserved for snow tubes. The use of any other equipment (luge, sled, bob, plastic bag, etc.) is strictly forbidden.

One person only can ride in a snow tube.

Wearing a helmet is highly recommended.

Snow tubing with ski boots is forbidden.

The lift must always be taken from the bottom. At the top, snow tubers must stay in the tube until the cord is automatically released. The cord must be stored inside the tube during the run.

Snow tubes may only be used on slopes open for that purpose. It is forbidden to carry snow tubes outside the park.

The path between slope 1 and the lift is reserved for snow tubers walking up the hill.

Before starting a run, snow tubers must always wait for the staff to give permission. The preceding tube must have left the track.

The correct position is: seated with your back and thighs supported by the snow tube and your legs bent in front of you.

You should hold the handles tightly.

Do not try to steer the snow tube, and never use your feet or hands to brake.

Snow tubers must follow the staff’s instructions and the safety rules displayed in the park at all times.

The staff is entitled to withdraw the ticket and snow tube from participants who do not follow instructions or whose behaviour may be a danger to themselves or to other visitors.

Temporary interruption of the lift or closure of the slopes does not give right to any reimbursement.

The lift, the slopes, the start and arrival areas are reserved for snow tubers. Spectators and those accompanying snow tubers have access to a terrace with a good view of the park.

Dogs must be on a leash while inside the park.

Tobogganing, like skiing, is a risky sport. Accidents may happen, even if security rules are respected. The users of snow tubes partake in this activity at their own risk and Télé-Leysin SA will not be liable in case of accident.

Thank you for your co-operation and enjoy your time at the Tobogganing Park!
